Things I've Done

I love finding out more about people. I was browsing through my starred items in Google Reader, and found this on a friend's blog. So, here goes! The things I've done are in bold.

1. Started your own blog (try six...)
2. Slept under the stars (I do a lot of camping)
3. Played in a band (praise band, holla! I played the bass)
4. Visited Hawaii (Maui, in 8th grade for my parents' 20th)

5. Watched a meteor shower (thanks astronomy class!)
6. Given more than you can afford to charity
7. Been to Disneyland
8. Climbed a mountain
9. Held a praying mantis
10. Sang a solo (again...praise band, and choir)
11. Bungee jumped
12. Visited Paris (twice, lucky me!)
13. Watched a lightning storm at sea
14. Taught yourself an art from scratch (sewing, baking, carpentry, I could go on...)
15. Adopted a child
16. Had food poisoning (bleh)
17. Walked to the top of the Statue of Liberty
18. Grown your own vegetables (I loved my salsa garden)
19. Seen the Mona Lisa in France (twice!)
20. Slept on an overnight train (from Paris to Rome)

21. Had a pillow fight (what girl hasn't?)
22. Hitch hiked
23. Taken a sick day when you’re not ill (several, I'm bad)
24. Built a snow fort (I lived near Boston for 7 years)
25. Held a lamb
26. Gone skinny dipping (soon! I have to!)
27. Run a marathon

28. Ridden in a gondola in Venice
29. Seen a total eclipse
30. Watched a sunrise or sunset (good times)
31. Hit a home run
32. Been on a cruise (next Sunday! Holy crap!)
33. Seen Niagara Falls in person
34. Visited the birthplace of your ancestors
35. Seen an Amish community (and have the bonnet to prove it)
36. Taught yourself a new language (Japanese and Mandarin, though I was never fluent)
37. Had enough money to be truly satisfied
38. Seen the Leaning Tower of Pisa in person
39. Gone rock climbing

41. Sung karaoke
42. Seen Old Faithful geyser erupt
43. Bought a stranger a meal at a restaurant
44. Visited Africa
45. Walked on a beach by moonlight (and of course, the requisite make-out session ;)

47. Had your portrait painted (I'd say drawn counts)
48. Gone deep sea fishing
49. Seen the Sistine Chapel in person
50. Been to the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris

51. Gone scuba diving or snorkeling (Maui)
52. Kissed in the rain
53. Played in the mud (can't wait to go back to Shiloh for more muddin' action!)
54. Gone to a drive-in theater
55. Been in a movie (I was in a crowd scene in DC when I was in first grade)
56. Visited the Great Wall of China
57. Started a business (Sprout Graphics!)
58. Taken a martial arts class
59. Visited Russia
60. Served at a soup kitchen
61. Sold Girl Scout cookies (I was a Brownie, then a Junior, then I quit)
62. Gone whale watching (Humpbacks, in the Boston Harbor)
63. Got flowers for no reason
64. Donated blood, platelets or plasma
65. Gone sky diving
66. Visited a Nazi Concentration Camp
67. Bounced a check
68. Flown in a helicopter
69. Saved a favorite childhood toy

100. Read an entire book in one day

This is a fun list, there's a lot of diverse activities. I hadn't realized I'd lived quite so much! It makes me grateful for the life I've lived, and all the things I still have yet to do.
